General objectives

  • Understanding each step of the digital flow sequence in planning oral rehabilitation.

  • Be able to carry out all the steps in planning the placement of prosthetically guided implants; starting with the CBCT study, selecting the implant position based on a previous digital wax-up, and ending with the design of the surgical splint and its printing.

  • Know how to clean, repair and prepare digital models.

  • Know how to generate a digital wax-up using digital models in cases of tooth wear rehabilitation. Learn how to create models for the composite injection technique.

  • Be able to use planning and design software.

  • Know the types of 3D printers, its advantages and disadvantages, and the different types of resins.

Highlighted features

In-person theoretical_practical course, aimed at general dentists or prosthodontists who want to get started in the digital world, who want to learn how to use the digital technology available to us and get the most out of it.

Small group coursepersonalized, held over a full day, intensive,, in the Semüi center located in Barcelona.

Dental planning and design software tools are described, with the student guided step-by-step and any questions answered at every stage of the process.

The student must bring your own computer and mouse. The minimum requirements for using the design and planning programs are: Microsoft Windows 10, 4G of RAM, and an Intel i5 processor.

No prior knowledge of the subject is required, as the course is organized from the ground up and in a chronological order that facilitates its understanding.

Coffee breaks will be provided by the organization.

Design and printing in guided implantology

  • Review of the digital workflow sequence in planning oral rehabilitation.
  • Alignment of CBCT with the digital model.
  • Software planning of implant placement according to prior prosthetic planning.
  • Design of the surgical splint for implant placement.

In the afternoon

Design and printing in oral rehabilitation

  • Obtaining a digital model of a patient with dental wear and the relationship between both arches.
  • Place the interrelated models in a software to be able to design the dental anatomy in occlusion.
  • Learn the fundamental elements of digital waxing software.
  • Types of printers and resins. 
  • Key aspects to consider before printing complete models.
