General objectives

  • Be able to make a presumptive diagnosis of a sleep-related breathing disorder, such as obstructive sleep apnea, and understand why it occurs.

  • Know which tests to order to confirm the diagnosis and the types of treatment available to the patient.

  • Be able to assess the indication or contraindication of a mandibular advancement device for a patient with snoring or obstructive sleep apnea.

  • Know the protocol for the preparation, titration, and monitoring of the device.

this field of dental sleep medicine.

Small group coursepersonalized, which takes place over the course of a day at the center semüi in Barcelona.

A general and basic theoretical foundation will be provided on dental sleep medicine, the theory of mandibular advancement devices, and a demonstration will be provided, allowing attendees to practice how to take a protrusive record for its laboratory fabrication.

No previous knowledge is required on the subject, since the course is organized to develop the entire theory from the foundations and in a chronology that facilitates its understanding.

The organization will provide all students with all the necessary materials for the hands-on part of the course.

Coffee breaks will be provided by the organization.
